Message from the President

Dr. Laurie Joyner

Dear Ðǿմ«Ã½ Community:

As I participated in the 2023 Commencement Ceremonies last month, I was inspired by the promise and possibility of each graduate who crossed the stage. Commencement is a special reminder of Saint Xavier's impact on students, families and communities. It has been an incredible gift to share in the educational journey of this year's graduating class.

The end of the school year marks a time of transition and reflection. This year was especially meaningful to me as I prepare to transition to a new academic home as the ninth president of St. Norbert College. I am proud of the accomplishments we have achieved during my time at Ðǿմ«Ã½, and the stories below reflect some of the good work we have done together.

Please take a moment to learn more about Dr. Rebecca Sherrick, who will serve as Ðǿմ«Ã½'s interim president beginning in July. Given Dr. Sherrick's experience and successful track record as president of Aurora University, I have no doubt she will continue to help Ðǿմ«Ã½ and our students achieve remarkable new heights.

I will cherish the many great moments I have shared with our students and their families, kind alumni, sustaining donors, and trusted colleagues during my time here. I am deeply appreciative of all I have learned from the Ðǿմ«Ã½ community.

My best always,

Laurie M. Joyner, Ph.D.
President
