Ðǿմ«Ã½ To Host Best-Selling Author Luis Alberto Urrea

Ðǿմ«Ã½ (Ðǿմ«Ã½) will host the Josetta Butler Lecture on Monday, March 18 at 6 p.m. in the Fourth Floor Board Room in the Warde Academic Center, featuring best-selling author .

Urrea is an English professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago and has published in nearly every genre, including nonfiction, memoir, short story, historical novels, poetry and an award-winning mystery story. Hailed by NPR as a "master storyteller with a rock and roll heart," Urrea is an acclaimed writer who uses his dual-cultural life experiences to explore the greater themes of loss, love and triumph. Urrea was a 2005 Pulitzer Prize finalist for nonfiction and is a member of the Latino Literature Hall of Fame.
